Accumulating Land Based Education Credits
Harvesters at any certification level can accumulate land-based
education credits by successfully completing a course/program at a recognized
training institute. Upon completion of a course/program, proof of successful completion
(copy of diploma, certificate, transcript, etc.) must be forwarded to the Board
for evaluation. The number of credits awarded will be based on the duration and
relevance of the course/program. For recognized fisheries related courses/programs,
harvesters will normally receive one (1) education credit for each day of schooling.
Harvesters at any certification level who have previously
completed formal education courses/programs in any field of study can forward
proof of successful completion (copy of diploma, certificate, transcript, etc.)
to the Board for evaluation. Credits will be awarded based on the duration and
relevance of the course.
